整形外科手术
手术中，部分乳房脂肪、腺体组织和皮肤将被去除，以缩小乳房的尺寸，减轻重量，提升紧致度。一般术后疤痕形状是倒T形，位于乳头和乳房下方。至于乳头和乳晕，通常会保持与血管和神经连接。随后，乳头上方的皮肤将被向下拉，以重塑乳房轮廓至预期形状，医生将重新开辟乳头和乳晕位置。如果乳房尺寸特别巨大，可能需要进行乳头游离并将其移到更高的位置。这也会导致乳头和乳晕失去感觉。

术后护理
术后，医生将使用绷带和纱布包扎胸部，并请患者穿支撑文胸，同时也可能在乳房两侧放置小型引流管以排出血和积液，该引流管保留1至2天。
术后的肿胀和淤青程度因个人而异。患者可通过冷敷或冰袋，减轻肿胀和缓解不适。
术后2至3天，可以拆除绷带，但还需要保持数周穿戴支撑文胸直到肿胀和淤青症状消退，或根据医生建议行事。患者应该仅在需要洗澡或洗衣服时将支撑文胸脱下。
一般可以在术后一周拆线，但有时医生会使用可吸收缝线。术后乳房周围皮肤会很干燥，可以一日多次涂抹保湿霜，而最有效的产品是维生素E霜，该产品也有助于疤痕愈合效果。与此同时，患者务必保持切口部位干燥，尤其在洗澡后。
术后前2-3个月，最关键的是避免因进行激烈活动如，提举物品或举手过顶而将切口拉扯，因为该举动可能因肌肉组织拉伸导致疤痕扩大。患者可能在提举物品或晾晒衣服时需要他人帮助。
医生将尽力使切口尽可能隐蔽，但最重要的是，患者必须意识到疤痕是永久性的，而该疤痕会在数月时间红肿，随后将逐渐消退变成一丝细小的白线。一般情况，疤痕位置的设计是在穿露脐上衣或短裙时完全看不到。
