整形外科手术
手术中，阴唇内侧的褶皱将进一步增加，为了消除阴唇组织的突出，医生必须缩小阴唇边缘部分或切除V形的组织块，而将细心地将剩下的阴唇部分进行缝合。医生将力求精准地推进该手术，确保术后阴唇感观尽可能接近自然。
术前护理
患者必须在接受变性手术前 3 个月完成体检，患者务必得到主治医生确定没有任何严重疾病症状，同时通过血液检测。体检项目如下：
• 全血细胞计数
• 艾滋病毒检测
• 电解质检测
• 空腹血糖检测
• 尿肌酐分析
• 碱性磷酸酶检测
• 胸部 X 光检查
• 肝功能检测（血清谷草转氨酶）
• 乳酸脱氢酶检测
• 心电图
此外，患者必须在术前至少 14 天停止激素治疗，同时也不得使用激素降低发生血栓的风险。
请告知您的整形外科医师您的过敏史、既往病史以及正在服用的药物（包括处方药和非处方药）。
手术前两周应避免服用阿司匹林，以及含有阿司匹林或布洛芬成分的药物，以降低术后出血的风险。
手术前两周不应吸烟，因为吸烟可能影响麻醉反应，并导致伤口愈合变慢。

术后护理
在等待缝线溶解的 2 周期间，患者可能需要使用护垫，期间患者应该使用温盐水清洗阴道部位以防感染，同时医生可能给患者开具抗生素。术后，手术部位可能较为敏感，憔悴，下坐时可能感觉不舒服 。
术后 3 周内避免激烈活动或性生活。医生将给患者恢复正常活动时间的建议。女性患者通常能在术后 1-2 周返回工作岗位。
