Surgeon’s story

Dr. Piyapas is a highly skilled, experienced and progressive plastic and reconstructive surgeon with advanced ideas. He graduated with both a bachelor degree of Biochemistry from the Faculty of Science and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Chulalongkorn Medical School, one of the oldest and most respected medical schools in Thailand. He subsequently completed a 5 year training for General Surgery at the Royal Thai Navy Hospital before graduating as a fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon from Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

He has rewarded a Physician of Excellence Award 7 years in a roll from Bangkok Phuket Hospital. He is an explorer who always brings an innovation to help his patients and actively develops himself both in academic and social dimensions. “Prince Charming” is his nickname for him being a caring and kind surgeon with good bedside manner.

Prior to working as a Plastic and Reconstructive Consultant Surgeon at Bangkok Phuket Hospital, he worked as a plastic surgery consultant on complex major plastic reconstructive and aesthetic cases for the Queen Sirikit General Hospital, the Royal Thai Navy and the Bangkok Hospital, Pattaya.

He is committed to establishing a solid doctor-patient relationship. Each step of the process, from the initial consultation to the actual procedure(s) until the follow-up care, is performed by him personally.

He regularly attends international meetings and academic seminars overseas to keep abreast of the latest innovative techniques and best treatments. With background in Biochemistry, and as a member of both the Society of Cosmetic Chemists of Thailand and the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC), he has developed and specialized new cosmetic formulations for unique skin care.

He now works at several hospitals in Phuket including the Bangkok Hospital Siriroj where his skills as an Aesthetic Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon and his ability to communicate effectively in English with excellent bedside manners have been strongly recognized by both local and international patients from all over the world. He also works as part of a team which takes care of multiple-procedure cases with the purpose of operative time and risk reduction for patients.
